CIPT Tour/Tournament Structure

The C.I.P.T Poker Season  Consists of 12 weeks of tournament play with an (Has to be 12 "played" weeks and not just 12 weeks) average of 20 games in that span.  Most regular season games are $20+$1(occasional Higher stakes game) buy-ins. The +$1 goes towards our tour for supplies or anything we may need; cards, chairs, etc. Additionally, the leader in points at the end of the 12 qualifying weeks wins $50 from the plus one pool. In order to qualify for the $50, players must attend at least 3 weeks during the season. 

Points are accumulated based on weekly finishes (see points system for explanation).

At the end of the 12 weeks the top 6 players in points are invited to participate in the C.I.P.T Invitational Championship Tournament. This is a tournament that usually takes place the week after (usually a Saturday) the regular season has ended. It is a freeze-out tournament, with a $50 buy-in, winner takes all. If one player is not able to attend, the next alternate gets the invitation.

6 players
1st Place-3pts
2nd Place-1pt

7 or 8 Players
1st Place- 5pts
2nd Place- 2pts
3rd Place- 1pt

9 or 10 Players 
1st Place- 10pts
2nd Place- 6pts
3rd Place- 3pts

More than 10 Players 

1st Place- 10pts plus 3 additional pts per person over 10 Ex. In a 14-player game 1st place would get 22pts
2nd Place- 6pts plus 2 additional pts per person over 10 Ex. In a 14-player game 2nd place would get 14pts
3rd Place- 3pts plus 1 additional pt per person over 10 Ex. In a 14-player game 3rd place would get 7pts
