CIPT Season 13

Season 13 was a particularly special one in that we saw the return and addition of some very interesting and awesome people. For any poker group I believe that new players are the way that the games stays fresh and competitive. One can only say "nice hand" to Jay-Jay so many times...lol

Consistent newcomers to the league this season were Tom and Jim Ra. Both added their own unique play and personality to the CIPT. Jim hit the ground running by winning his first game and was full of chips early in his other appearance. Tom has been in the mix just about every game and I believe he and Jim might be two of the top players on the leaderboard in Season 14.

Season 13 was also notable for pleasant returns. We had AL, Ellis, Denny, Matt, DeAntye, and Adrian, all make welcome and colorful appearances. Ellis had been with us regularly when we were over in Solon. Matt and Denny were back for a few dates as Matt was on vacay from trucking like an MFer. DeAntye; the CIPT Grand Champion #1, was back and at times, all the entertainment we needed for the evening. Adrian, who played with us at Solon for a time, also found his way back on the tables adding his own flair to the mix. Adrian is the coolest person in the room, until you go all in on him...lol He kinda lights up a little bit after that. And last but not least was Al, who may be the greatest guest that the CIPT hosts.

The Season 13 Championship field is set and headlined by Jamie; the winner of the previous two seasons. As always, there are interesting storylines and questions to be answered. Can Dame or Jay finally win their first ring? They are both legacy champions but are feverishly looking to make one of those fingers heavy, with the gold and glory of winning a championship. Can Mike and Pierre win a second ring and put themselves into an elite group which includes Jamie and Jerry (both multiple season winners)? Can Stella bully her way to her first ring? She has pretty much been there every time but has never finished in the top two. And of course, the most compelling wonder of all, Can anyone stop Jamie??? I don't have the answers to these questions, but it sure is a lot of fun trying to find them. Season 13, it's on, gheeeeeahhhhh!
