Let's start with Dre. Dre has been the source of several of our regulars and others, with his tenure as part of the CIPT. It just seems like whenever he brings a new person, they show the hell out. Lloyd is a friend of Dre's so naturally, showing out is precisely what he did. In what was a great turnout (9), (11); Lloyd took both games.
In game one, he found himself heads up with tour vet Joe. Joe played well, showing great patience and picking his spots. He won some very intense hands on his way to a showdown with chip leader Lloyd. Eventually, Lloyd would overwhelm Joe by turning the tables on him with patience. Joe went all in many times trying to obtain the double up he so needed. It would never come. Instead of succumbing to Joe's aggression, Lloyd simply folded until he found a hand that suited him and then, it was over.
In the second game, a field of 11 competed for the grand prize of a 13pt win. A two table affair, we saw some wild things happen. Molly broke out with quad 4s in only a few hands. Needless to say, she walked away with the best hand. She also walked away with 8pts as she came in second to Lloyd. Lloyd was again the chip leader going into the showdown and in this match, he would never relinquish the lead.
